hi, i am currently in the process of getting quotes for a full fibre internet upgrade for our house (currently on copper). Has there been any testing to see what the minimum internet speeds will be required for Nunet to run smoothly and be worthwhile financial wise? Currently our home plan is 100Mbps download and 40Mbps upload (both maximum numbers that won’t be realistic reached). To get a plan with much higher upload speeds will cost almost double the monthly cost. Also will Nunet select computers to issue jobs to based on internet speed? Thanks
No, there currently is no bandwidth requirements. It’s not a huge issue because once you download, your computer can then run the algorithm and send back the output. This could vary depending on the use-case, but internet speed definitely won’t always be an issue.
