It is indeed a good idea to have a thread collecting review / in depth CS papers in the space and around. My overall perspective is that the decentralized computing space is vast and while there are many projects in it, the overlap between them only creates an opportunity to collaborate and grow the space / take it over from centralized computing and data silos.
In passing: one unique feature that NuNet builds is computational reflection that allows software to reason about hardware and the other way round in real time. NuNet also does not try to build global consensus where it is not needed (which is also what Holochain does – which I have high regard for – , but Holo has pretty different ecosystem model with dedicated nodes, as well as ICP)…
To reinforce what Kabir said, the big difference between NuNet and similar networks is that it is blockchain agnostic, meaning it concentrates only on decentralized cloud computing, without getting bogged down by also trying to have all nodes validate a ledger. NuNet uses separate blockchains like Ethereum to pay the network providers.
